The journey started from the beautiful city of love — Dehradun — and became a memorable spiritual adventure filled with mountain views, temple darshan, rain, greenery, local food, and Himalayan peace.
Day 1 – Dehradun to Chopta Tungnath Trek & Pipalkoti Stay
The Panwar family started their journey 13/05/2026 , early morning at 4:00 AM from Nalapani, Dehradun with SafarXpert’s comfortable Ertiga cab.
The route passed through the spiritual town of Rishikesh, surrounded by beautiful Himalayan roads and river views.
Devprayag – Birthplace of Maa Ganga
Around 8:30 AM, the family reached Devprayag, one of the famous Panch Prayags of Uttarakhand. Here they witnessed the divine confluence of:
- Bhagirathi River
- Alaknanda River
Together these sacred rivers form the holy River Ganga.

Arrival at Chopta – Mini Switzerland of India
After enjoying the scenic Himalayan roads, the family reached Chopta around 11:30 AM.

Tungnath Trek Experience
The family started the 5 km Tungnath trek with full excitement. The trekking route was filled with:

After a beautiful trek, they reached Tungnath Temple around 2:30 PM
Tungnath Temple – Highest Shiva Temple in the World
Tungnath Temple is one of the most sacred Shiva temples in India and also part of the Panch Kedar.

The weather became extremely cold and rainy during the darshan. Due to heavy rain and weather conditions, the family decided to skip the Chandrashila summit trek for safety reasons.
Safety always comes first during Himalayan journeys.
Around 5:00 PM, they safely returned to Chopta.
After darshan at Gangotri Temple, guests returned to Uttarkashi and stayed at Manokamna Palace Hotel.

Scenic Drive to Pipalkoti
After the trek, the family continued their journey toward Pipalkoti via the beautiful Mandal route.
Despite heavy traffic at several points, the scenic mountain roads made the journey enjoyable.

Day 2 – Pipalkoti to Badrinath Dham & Mana Village
The second day started early morning at 5:00 AM from Pipalkoti.
The journey passed through:

On the way, the family visited the famous Narsingh Temple in Joshimath.
Arrival at Badrinath Dham
Around 9:00 AM, the family reached the sacred Badrinath Temple, one of the Char Dhams of India dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Day 3 – Pipalkoti to Dehradun via Dhari Devi & Rishikesh
On the final day, the family started their return journey toward Dehradun.

On the way, they visited the famous Dhari Devi Temple, known as the protector goddess of Uttarakhand and Char Dham Yatra.
